Italian Covid-19 Rules

"Book our tours without risk! You will be refunded in the event that the tour is canceled or if you are unable to travel to Italy due to Covid restrictions imposed by your country or the Italian government."

These last two years have been extremely difficult for all people who love to travel.
The Pandemic is still here, but – thanks to the vaccines, and to the protocols that our country has put in place – in Italy it is now possible to travel in safety.
HTR has introduced a booking and cancellation policy that is flexible; furthermore it also guarantees that all Tours comply with Government regulations, guaranteeing that our Clients are at all times safe.

Clients can book their 2022 HTR Tours without any kind of risk. If our Tours are cancelled, or if our clients cannot travel due to the Covid19, they will either be able to have a new, free, booking or a complete reimbursement.

Reimbursement due to Covid 19
Usually all HTR Tours are confirmed 60 days before they start. Exceptionally, in 2022, because of the Pandemic situation, the Tours will be confirmed 30 days before they start.

If Clients cannot join the tour for any of the following reasons:

  • Their Country puts in place restrictions for travelling as a tourist in Italy.
  • Italy puts in place restrictions for travelling as a tourist in Italy.
  • Cancellation on behalf of HTR due to direct and/or indirect consequences of Covid 19.

    CLIENTS WILL BE COMPLETELY REIMBURSED (Deposit or Full Amount).

Policy for any Client that falls sick with Covid 19 or, after the Tour has been confirmed by HTR:

  • Between 30 and 10 days prior to the starting date clients loose their deposit. HTR holds the balance which can be used for another tour in the same or in the following year.
  • From 9 days prior to the starting date Clients lose 50% of the total amount. HTR holds the remaining 50% that can be used for another tour in the same or in the following year.

Covid 19 Regulations for people wishing to travel to Italy
Anyone wishing to join HTR Italy Tours must have one of the following:
Proof that they have recovered from Covid;
Proof that they have all Covid vaccines;
Proof that they have a negative result to a molecular test done 72 hours before arriving in Italy; or a negative antigen test done 24 hours before entering the country;
For all other information please click here to see which regulations the Italian Health Ministry asks for when you travel in Italy.
Furthermore, HTR advises Clients to check out their own countries’ regulations to see what tests are needed to leave and get back to their own country, and to find out if there are isolation periods on their return.

Medical insurance to travel
In HTR’s Tour packet Clients will find included an insurance which covers most medical issues that might occur during trips, including doctors, ambulances, hospitals, and/or any appropriate family travel issues. From this year a € 100 € reimbursement is also included in the case of hospitalization due to Covid 19.
We recommend that our clients buy a travel insurance-packet that has a good medical plan for all Covid-19 and related issues.

Responsible Behaviour during HTR Tours
Washing hands at regular intervals;
Wearing a mask at all times in closed spaces and in any place where one might be in contact with other people;
Keeping a safe distance from other people;
If a client feels or gets sick at any time during the Tour they need to immediately let their Tour Guides know, so that they can be assisted in the best possible way.

Tour Guides
HTR’s Tour Guides are all vaccinated. They will remind clients daily of the rules that they need to comply with. In all cases of need HTR Guides will be ready to manage all logistic and other issues that might arise.

Motorcycles and Support Vehicles
All motorcycles and equipment will be sanitized at all times, as will all support vehicles, in order to guarantee that no luggage is at risk of infection.

Restaurants
All restaurants will be booked ahead of time in order to guarantee that there is enough space to welcome HTRs groups. Wherever possible we will be booking “al fresco”, outdoors. Clients can request separate tables, or ask for room-service at all restaurants/hotels that provide this service.

Hotels
HTR only works with hotels that can guarantee that all safety protocols are put in place: cleanliness, sanitization, mask-wearing, distancing, etc.

Travelling in a group
HTR has always had groups of a maximum of 15 people. Being less means that it is easier to respect distancing regulations.

Guided Tours and Group Activities
All group activities will respect the Italian State regulations: social distancing and wearing masks.

HTR will always keep clients up-dated
Once Clients have booked a HTR Tour they will be kept up-dated about any changes that may occur. Clients will know that their Tour has been confirmed 30 days before it starts.
